Troubleshooting¶

| Many shortcuts/versions | Check the shortcut Target. Assignment 14's tested build was 1.0.1 at C:\RASAeroOptA14Final\RASAero_II_Optimizer.exe; your installation may differ. |
| RASAero executable not found | File → RASAero executable..., then select the separate installed RASAero II.exe. |
| CDX1 loads but cannot optimize | Read status for optimizer compatibility check failed; a geometry preview alone does not establish support. |
| No feasible candidates | Review static-margin requirements, native-warning policy, fin bounds, and optional flutter settings. Do not assume the highest unrestricted altitude is feasible. |
| Flutter input rejected | Enabled screening requires an explicit modulus (GPa) and maximum ratio. Check physically meaningful units. |
| Export only opens Save As | Complete the native dialog, inspect the chosen destination, and verify the file in RASAero. This workflow remains unverified in Assignment 14. |
| Old session won't reopen | Choose the saved directory through Open saved results..., preserve candidate subfolders, and record the specific error for debugging. |
| Missing angular metrics | Some trajectories lack histories; unavailable diagnostic fields are not equivalent to zero motion. |
If reporting a bug, provide build/version, the CDX1 model (if shareable), exact steps, error text, run folder, and which candidate ID was selected. Keep original inputs and avoid deleting incomplete test evidence.
